Call for Interns!

The CSDS is looking for a diverse team of dedicated, reliable individuals capable of working both independently and with others. A passion for facilitating an interdisciplinary approach to sustainability is must-have!

The Centre for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS), a venture of the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR) at the University of Amsterdam, strives to enhance the scholarly exchange of knowledge on sustainable development issues among social scientists and to enhance collaboration with the natural and technical sciences. Additionally, the CSDS promotes joint research work on sustainable development issues at multiple scale levels, from contrasting perspectives, in and between the Global North and the Global South.

Open positions

There will be several internship positions available for master and bachelor students.

  • Content manager: Oversee the publication of news articles and blogs on recent societal and political debates concerning sustainable development issues. Manage and update the CSDS website content, newsletter and social media.
  • Editor: Proofread and edit submitted blog posts, news articles, and other content for the CSDS website.
  • Blog administrator: Oversee blog entries submitted to the CSDS for publication on the website.
  • News and events coordinator: Search for relevant sustainability news and events that will be published on the website and the CSDS social media platforms.

All interns will be given the opportunity to also write blog posts on sustainability issues, from the local to the global context.
