Meet the interns of 2018-2019!

Every year the CSDS hires new interns to coordinate all online activities of the CSDS and investigate issues related to sustainability and development. See who has joined the team for 2018-2019!

Frederike
My name is Frederike. I am half Dutch, half German, and thanks to my adventurous parents I grew up in Zimbabwe and Germany. I did my bachelors in Human Geography, Urban Planning and Environment in Nijmegen which I completed with a thesis on ‘Tiny Housing in the Netherlands’. During my bachelor years I had the opportunity to complete a minor in Food Security at Wageningen University and I enjoyed hanging around good food whilst working part-time in an organic shop. My interests are still very widespread and I look forward to some more challenging years at the UvA where I am currently enrolled in the Master’s degree in Economic Geography.

However, I also have experience writing and researching about environment, health, education and culture. I am passionate about travelling and for that reason I left my hometown Bogotá seven years to explore the world. Since then I have lived in London, York and I am currently based on The Hague. I am also very keen about photography and different ways to tell stories. I am cycling lover and play the drums and the guitar.
